At Nitta Gelatin, we believe it is essential to preserve the quality of life in the communities where we operate and to grow sustainably alongside them. To that end, we actively contribute to local communities in a variety of ways, including participating in neighborhood cleanup activities and events, as well as welcoming educational field trips from nearby elementary schools.

Regional Cleanups

We regularly carry out cleanup activities around the Osaka Plant, including participating in the city-wide cleanup campaign organized by Yao City.
In addition, we conduct environmental patrols four times a year to help maintain and improve the surrounding environment.

Plant Tours

We actively welcome educational field trips from nearby elementary schools to our Osaka Plant. During these visits, we provide students with easy-to-understand explanations about the basics of gelatin and offer hands-on experiences such as making sweets using gelatin.

Making Our Ground Available

The sports ground adjacent to our Osaka Plant is open to the community throughout the year.

Every spring, local residents come to enjoy the cherry blossoms on the Yoshino cherry trees and weeping cherry trees.

Grape Harvest Volunteer

In July 2021, we signed an agreement on agricultural experience and volunteer activities under Osaka Prefecture’s agricultural partnership agreement system. This system, established by the Osaka Agricultural Tsunagu (meaning “connect”) Center, aims to connect companies interested in participating in agriculture—whether as a side job or volunteer—with farmers seeking support for agricultural work. As a member of the local community, we have been taking part in volunteer activities every year since 2021, helping to harvest grapes for winemaking at nearby vineyards in support of regional development.

Note: Our 2024 grape harvest efforts were featured in a news segment by Kansai Television Co., Ltd.

Sports Support

We support sports enthusiasts by sponsoring teams and providing RunShot, an athlete recovery drink developed in collaboration with the Josai University Men's Ekiden (long-distance relay) Team, which competes in the Hakone Ekiden.
In September 2022, we signed a partnership agreement with Matsuyama City in Ehime Prefecture to promote the empowerment of women through sports. As part of this initiative, we actively support female athletes.

Collagen Shop and Café

We are making efforts to contribute to the local community by having set up a café where residents local to the Osaka Plant can not only buy collagen products but also come to relax.
The café has been named Sakura Café as it is a place where the cherry blossoms, or sakura, are in full bloom in spring.
