As well as complying with all applicable laws and regulations, we carry out our procurement activities in cooperation with our business partners in a socially responsible way. We enable the safe procurement of raw materials by building relationships of trust with overseas suppliers.

 

   We also recognize that in addition to safety and security, promoting sustainability throughout the whole supply chain, including giving consideration to the environment and society, is important for realizing a sustainable society, and as such, we will focus on sustainable procurement activities in cooperation with our business partners.

In order to fulfill its social responsibilities throughout the whole supply chain, the Nitta Gelatin Group is working with its business partners to ensure responsible procurement. We believe that the suppliers from whom we purchase raw materials are important partners. So as to build relationships of trust through open, fair and impartial dealings, and to earn the trust of society as a global Company, our procurement is carried out in consideration of the environment, quality, occupational safety, and human rights among other things, in the supply chain and in those of our business partners.

Whenever we begin dealing with a supplier, we not only have them understand the terms of our purchasing policy, but we also carry out an assessment of the supplier. And after we have started dealing with the supplier, we carry out regular assessments based on ISO 9001 standards and share any problems or issues we may have to improve the quality of the raw materials purchased.
